Hello again
It's been a while since I've been blogging but time to get back to it.
I have this very dear friend Lynne who is so inspirational for me and I have learned some of her knowledge of the Aboriginal culture which really intrigues me .
I was very fortunate to spend a day in her little shop in East Coulee during the spring festival out there.
The name of her little shop is called Buffalo Spirit Trading...A treasure trove of spirituality..She also has the most beautiful gardens..I find so much serenity there...
I was able to talk with visitors and sell some of her beautiful gifts and jewellery and had forgotten what it's like to work with people . I miss that part of my life....I've been quite isolated lately with my health issues and other commitments...
I learned that I am of the turtle clan , so appropriate as I feel that I am quite often laying on my back , fluttering around and not knowing how to upright myself...Thankfully I have this wonderful counsellor Cora and she helps me to see that like the turtle, slow and steady I'm able to get back on my feet again...
I'm reading Brene Brown's book called The Gifts Of Imperfection, Let Go Of Who You Think You're Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are...Your Guide To A Wholehearted Life.. as I have tried all my life to be the perfect wife, mother, employee, you name it....It's pretty draining trying to be all these things and do them perfectly..
I want to do some writing but where to start ?

Carol Is Back....Better Late Than Never...
I can't believe that my blog is still here and I've been away from it for so long but it has been quite a journey...This is a new beginning for me...
A lot has happened in my life since my last posts...
I don't know where to begin so I guess I'll start from today and go back to some of the places I've been...It surprises even me...Some of it is even hard for me to fathom...
My hair is no longer red, it's now silver...but I've earned every gray hair on my head...I've come through a storm that no one can imagine...

Collected Whispers...Poetry...Destiny
I wrote this poem when my foster child Destiny moved to a new home and it was one of the hardest times of my life...I missed her terribly...everywhere I went there were reminders of her ...her toys in the back yard...in the grocery toy aisle where the Barbies were...my backyard where the old swing set still sits..I recently found a partially in flated balloon in the house and she has been gone for four years now ..It was like a part of my heart had been ripped out...I had some health problems that went along with it...I developed shingles which are a stress related illness..With her leaving like that so suddenly, it triggered some childhood memories that were not so pleasant...I knew that I had to do something about those and I have been seeing a wonderful counselor from that time on...I've been able to talk a lot about my own issues and have moved beyond some of them...Some are too difficult to even remember...I wrote another poem called Where Has Innocence Gone and it was published in the year 2000 for the millenium....It was published in Canada and the States.....This poem Where Is my Destiny was just recently published...
I knew she had gone to a good family and a good home ..I hoped I could still be a part of her life...I always will I know.. but I only see her in pictures...she is blossoming into a beautiful young lady...I know she will go far.....
